This is where locals go when they want a solid steak without driving down the mountain to Manitou Springs. The filet mignon is consistently good, and they do a nice job with their ribeye—cooked to temp and not overseasoned like some casino joints tend to do. The atmosphere is casual-upscale with exposed brick walls and old mining photos that actually feel authentic rather than kitschy, packed most Friday and Saturday nights with a mix of tourists and regulars. They've got a decent wine list for the area, though it skews towards California stuff. Servcie is generaly friendly, sometimes a bit slow when they're busy, but the staff knows the menu well and can make solid recomendations if you ask.
